1) Does the product require a new battery?
If the device hasn’t been used for several months, or if the collar is used every day, you should replace the battery (purchase a new battery from your local dealer) before contacting our After Sales Service.
Note: Completely remove the battery from the unit during extended periods of non-use, for a longer life span.
2) Is the battery inserted correctly?
Check that the arrow on the battery is opposite the lock symbol. A discrepancy of even 1 millimetre may prevent it from working correctly.
You will hear a beep and the LED should flash every 5 seconds (if it flashes repeatedly every 5 seconds, the battery is low and should be replaced)
3) Check the collar is working (electrostatic stimulation)
Once you have put in a new battery, you should test the collar using the test bulb supplied (the bulb enables the electrostatic stimulations to be detected).
- Deactivate the receiver collar (remove the battery).
- Partially unscrew the electrodes on the receiver unit.
- Place the electrical contacts of the bulb around each metal rod.
- Screw the electrodes back onto the metal rods by hand to hold in place. The bulb will light up at each electrostatic stimulation.
- Activate the collar (insert the battery).
- Scrape 1 or 2 electrodes on a rough surface (in short bursts, not continuously) OR use a knife and scrape the words MARTIN SELLIER between the 2 electrodes. This is simply to make a vibration.
If the test bulb does not light up:

If the test bulb lights up:
The collar is working
- Check that the collar is tight enough and that the electrodes are in contact with the skin (adjust the strap hole by hole).
- If necessary, cut your dog’s coat in this area and/or use longer electrodes.
