I have inserted the battery and filled the reservoir, but no spray comes out when I use the remote control

1) Does the product require a new battery?

If the device hasn’t been used for several months, or if the collar is used every day, you should replace the battery (purchase a new battery from your local dealer) before contacting the After Sales Service.

Note: Completely remove the battery from the unit during extended periods of non-use, for a longer life span.

2) Is the battery the correct one for the product and is it inserted correctly?

Check the battery is correctly in place, with the ‘+’ sign to the outside, and that the battery cover is closed properly (for contact with the springs)

3) Are the batteries in the remote control working properly?

4) Have you switched on and synchronised the unit and the remote control?

NoteThe collar has a BATTERY SAVER function, it switches off automatically if not used for 18 hours; the collar must therefore be switched on again.

5) Check the system is working

Position the unit with the nozzle facing in the opposite direction to you, then press button 1 or 2 (short or long spray).

  1. If you can’t hear a ‘crackling’ sound coming from the unit:
  2. If you can hear a ‘crackling’ but nothing comes out: the battery is working

The battery may be worn out, purchase a new Martin Sellier battery of the same type, supplied by your local dealer.

- Have you filled the reservoir? → How can I check the level of liquid? Click here

- There may be too much air inside, in which case, you must ‘bleed’ the product: place the unit upside down and flat on a table, keep your face away from the nozzle that sprays the liquid. Press on the small metal pin at the centre of the filling valve with the tip of a ballpoint pen or the refill canister. Once the air has been removed, refill the device with liquid if required and press button 1 or 2 to see if the spray comes out.

- The spray nozzle may be blocked: wipe with a damp cloth and remove any hairs or other residue that may be causing the obstruction using tweezers, BUT never insert any pointed object, such as a needle, inside the product: this will invalidate the warranty.
